Peaked Out Before The Peak – Aargh!!!

Peak Cucamonga Peak
Group Solo
Trailhead Icehouse Saddle

Though my system literally ran out of gas the last 1.7 miles to the summit, this good ole’ boy managed to summit and NOT turn back.

It would have helped greatly if I had something to eat prior to hitting the trail. But waking up late and rushing to get good parking made this bonehead miss an essential meal required for a lengthy, high-elevation hike… Aargh!!!

Overall, the day in the mountains turned out to be pleasant with cool and often times breezy conditions.

There were a good amount of hikers on the trail. Met several other 6-Pack of Peak Challengers; most of which are new to the challenge – AWESOME!!!

Well hope you enjoy the photos of the 3 Saints – Mount San Gorgonio, Mount San Jacinto & Mount San Antonio. Also, a photo of Etiwanda Peak; a peak least visited but with 1 more mile of travel offers awesome views to the east & other peaks of the Cucamonga Wilderness.

Alright, peak #4 bagged. Now 2 more to go… San Berdo Peak & Old Greyback… Hoo-ah!!!
