I set out to bag peak #6 in the Six Pack of Peaks challenge this morning (Sunday, June 18), leaving the trail head at 5:55am. The lack of sleep was so worth it as temperatures were cooler on the way up. Even so, we needed to take a few breaks along the way and reached the summit to enjoy beautiful views and a great lunch (I brought leftover Chipotle, haha!!) There was not any snow on the trail and it was beautiful. Quite green compared to other parts of Southern California. I can’t believe this was my last peak in the challenge. I’m so happy I registered and had the opportunity to accomplish this. Thank you SoCal Hiker!
Congratulations, Krista! San Bernardino is my wife’s favorite peak in the pack, too. Hope to see you at the Finisher’s Party in October.
