We started just before 7am on what was expected to be a pretty warm day. The hike up was of course challenging but beautiful and pretty fun. The ski lodge is a nice stop for clean restrooms, water, snacks, etc. Lots of very friendly people on the trail as well. We chose the suggested “shorter route” to come down instead of back the way we came up. If I had to do it again, I would change my mind! It was very steep, sometimes hard to follow the trail and the trail was very rocky and not as well maintained. Because the temp also got much hotter, most of the way down was pretty miserable compared to coming up. Next time, back down the way we came up, a celebration meal/drink at the lodge and a ride down on the ski lift are in my plans! At least glad to say that I did it though!
