Peak San Gorgonio
Group 5
Trailhead Vivian Creek

When you have vacation days on the books that you’ll loose they need to be used. Being that on this day I’d normally be in the office, it was extra special to have such incredible 360 degrees live office views. Normally cold at 6:30am, it was pleasantly cool. The sun made its way out as we reached the first saddle. Streams, breezes, and blue skies seemed to welcome us into the lush scenery. At 9,000 feet we encountered scattered ice patches. At 10,000 winds kicked in and accompanied us to the summit. As always, it’s highly rewarding reaching this top of this peak given the altitude challenges. For the first time ever, it felt amazing to have the summit to ourselves. Grand views, beautiful day, and great company (Meredith, Jessica, Catrina, and Joe) made for a fabulous hike!
