Trailhead Forsee Creek

I picked up a permit the day before at the Mill Creek Ranger Station. I was informed no permits were available for the Angelus Oaks trailhead. I opted for the hike up from Forsee Creek trailhead. The climb up was excellent. The trail was soft and well maintained and dusted with pine needles. The climb up to the saddle was shaped and cool. I summited both the East Peak and San Bernardino. The return on John’s Meadow trail was challenging. The trail was not well maintained and was significantly longer than expected based on trail map in Gaia GPS. The full loop was 17.6 miles. Definitely challenged me and I was happy to see the car at the end of the hike!
