We hiked on June 17, starting pretty early to avoid the heat and hit the summit just before 9 a.m. We ran into some long lost friends on our way down and were off the mountain in time for lunch! Not much to report; happy to see there are slightly better markers indicating the right-hand turn just below the summit. I still suspect some hikers unknowingly go straight there but it’s better than it used to be.
