Nothing but Snow

This was my birthday present to myself. Hiking to San Jacinto in snow. I really enjoyed climbing San J this way. It forced me to break out the maps, compass and to read the terrain. It was very exciting to have to read the ridges and plan a route, that felt the safest. Can’t say I followed any trails, just ascended. The added bonus…glisading down the east side of San Jacinto.
