First hike New Years Day 2017. Started off around 0700 with clear skies and cool mountain air. Thin layer of snow at the peak and around the telescope towers. As I headed down, clouds began rolling in. No rain – just made for an eerie solo hike!
Awesome way to spend the first day of 2017, Marissa! I love the photo looking out over the clouds at snow-capped Mt Baldy in the east.
Congrats on making the solo hike! Went out too late yesterday myself and didn’t make. Will be going back. Will agree that it is quite eerie once you get closer to the top on a solo trek.
