Peak San Bernardino
Group GWHLA
Trailhead Angelus oaks

I was scared to death as this is my first peak to hike with group of ladies I never meet before. I don’t know what to expect and really don’t know how my body will adjust to the long hike and altitude. I was anxious, I had palpitation but tried to be strong and just enjoy the beauty of the trail. It was a beautiful day I’d say, the weather was in our favor until we are 2 miles away from the peak. We experienced some drizzle, lightning, and thunderstorm. I was so scared. I cannot believed how the weather changed so drastically at the peak. We stopped and waited for a couple of minutes, we almost decided to go back down. But we’re almost there!
I’m glad I hike with a group of tough ladies with strong fighting spirit. We did summit San Bernardino peak in spite of that challenge.
I’m so exhausted, sore and my knee and feet had given up on me. But I feel so accomplished! I can’t believed I did it!
