Weather was perfect! Trail was good condition, except the Gnats were everywhere on the hike up especially. One positive with them buzzing about….didn’t want to stop for more than a minute because then they’d really swarm around you.
Argh! I hate those gnats! That’s why I prefer hiking this trail in January or February.
But good to know — I’m hiking this in May and I’ll bring along a head net.

The weather was super nice, although we started about 6:15. It would have been a bit warm going up after 11am
