It was quite hot (85) to start at 6am. Nice trail with lots of shade. But lots of bugs. Flys, gnats, etc. Made for a very unpleasant experience, unfortunately. We had a nice little shower go over while at the peak. And it was nice to get water at the peak so we didn’t need to carry so much at the start..We did run into a family at one of the camp sights who were getting their dinner eaten by a bear…
