Mt. San Bernardino

Wow! This was my first ever attempt to Summit a peak in the snow. Most of the trail was clear except for the last mile or so. I came geared with snowshoes (Lightning Ascents) which worked amazingly to get me to the peak. Unfortunately, they do not work as well going downhill on hard packed icy slopes, so I twisted my knee as I slid down the icy gully. Bummer. Next year I will invest in crampons.
