Peak Mt Baldy
Group N/A
Trailhead Manker Flats

Another beautiful day on planet earth! Second Peak ascent with my son Loic, my best hiking/ adventure partner. We both know when to retreat away from the trials and tribulations of our lives. The mountains bring us peace; there we are ourselves, humble and present. Each step brings us closer to serenity each step brings us clarity. Here is my little reflection from yesterday hike. Nature brings us together in a touching way. For example we might forget to great our neighbors every morning (we might even do not know them) yet we great every single hikers (even we don’t know them), exchange a couple words, help some with directions, share our food, saying encouraging words etc. Hence cultivating “micro-moment of positivity resonance” which is in positive psychology: love. A long hike in the mountains brings out the best of us and offers us a comforting shelter for our mind and soul. From the mountains we always comeback rejuvenated, connected and in peace.

“In every walk with nature, one received far more than he seeks.”– John Muir

We started Mt Baldi earlier this time and the weather was perfect. It got very windy at times, but it kept us cool. The trails were in good condition, no snow at all. There were a lot of people on Mt Baldy and on the top. This time, I decided to enjoy a slower pace, socializing with people and only ran down a little portion of Devil’s Back Bone trail to the Notch.
Distance: 11.91 miles; Time: 5:58:52.
