Bear Canyon Trail is a love hate way to get up Mt Baldy. This is the trail to take if you want to avoid the crowds. You will have to put in a little extra work, but it is worth it. I did this route a few weeks ago alone for the Fools Traverse. I wouldn’t not log in the hike without my hiking partner Lisa aka the wife. We headed up the Mountain together this past Saturday with a couple of friends. After the summit, we descended to the Devils Back Bone down to the Baldy Notch where we took a break then headed down to Manker Camp ground to our 2nd vehicle to ride back to the village. All and all a great hike with great people!
