Trailhead Bear Canyon

I tackled the The Bear Canyon Trail, also known as Old Mt. Baldy Trail, which is one of the toughest routes leading to the 10,064 summit of Mt. Baldy. I took 4 litters of water and still ran out 3 miles from my car.. My intentions were to hike solo, but as luck would have it, a 72 year old man (Abba that has hiked this trail over 400 times) took one look at me at the trail head and insisted I hike with him. lol I’ve hiked the 3 T’s, Mt Wilson, Mt Baldy loop via ski hut trail, and Cucamonga peak in the last 30 days and this was by far the most challenging.
