San Bernardino is the most scenic and beautiful hike in SoCal! Thanks to all the snow and rain we had this winter, it is a beautiful palette of green, water, wild flowers and life. There are still quite a few patches of snow on the trail above 9,000 ft but nothing you can’t manage with a little bit of patience and being careful. The trail is easy to spot, it just gets a bit tricky towards the top. I brought microspikes, a topo map and compass but ended up not needing them. Mr. Ranger (my hiking rubber duck mascot) met Yoda at the summit. It bears the initials JH. Would it be yours Jeff?
