Trailhead Adam's Pack Station

Our hike started by getting up at 6AM in San Diego and driving to Adam’s Pack Station. The day was very foggy (we couldn’t see 15 feet in front of us), but it was a fantastic hike nonetheless. There were a lot of waterfalls, man-made and natural, as we made our way to Sturdevant Camp. At camp we had some hot tea and dropped off our packs before making our way up to the summit. The trail from camp to the summit was steep and we had to take a few water breaks in the dense fog. It rained off and on throughout the hike, but cleared up a bit when we got to the summit. On the top it was freezing, but we were able to take shelter by seeing the Hooker Telescope and then having some complimentary hot chocolate at the cafe. Hiking down proved to be a lot easier than up (funny how that works), so we made it to camp with plenty of time to relax and try out the zip line before dinner. The next day it was nothing but blue skies and a beautiful hike down. This hike has to have been the prettiest and most interesting hike we’ve done in SoCal. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the 6-Pack Peak Challenge!
