Trailhead Vivian Creek

It was most enjoyable hike on the way up. The terrain was steep the weather was nice and the views were magnificent. Then it all changed just before we summited. The sky turned greyish. Wind was probably 55mph at the top. It was freezing cold. Then it started to snow just before we got to the top. I didn’t even take my face mask off for the summit picture, since it was so cold, shivering cold (I regain warms only when we started hiking again). Nevertheless we made it.
This hike is test of endurance and determination, definitely. The trail was tough to identify after high creek. Part of trails are covered in snow. I had to take out my map and compass a few times, including my smart phone (I preload course of SG hike on Gaiagps).
I was surprised how many advanced hikers, I meant physically advanced, don’t take map and compass on tough course like SG.
Water was everywhere. There are many places, I think 3 or 4 places one can fill up. I’m a photography. Taking photos of nature is the reason that I’m up there. Check out my instagram posting of the hikings @pingphotoisin Stay safe out there
