Throughout this journey, I’ve met soo many more people. I’ll be at a party and someone will introduce me to another friend with similar interests. Or other friends will reach out to me because they have similar interests. My original peak team did not continue on with the peaks. I was luckily enough to meet more people that had the same goals and joined onto my permit for this hike. It’s also always a neat experience to hike with someone else – you learn new things, new tricks, teach someone else something new, etc… This hike – we all kept eachother going. No person left behind! It was nice to make new friends and encourage one another to keep pushing! Another fun hike, although I enjoyed the views on the side more than the peak! A quick note though – when hiking, try to be mindful of other hikers. We did across a rather loud obnoxious group that did not have the same hiker mentality. They put a slightly sour twist on an other wise great experience. I learned a lot on this hike which helped me going forward- I didn’t keep myself fueled, so I would go through lulls of energy loss. Even when I’m not necessarily hungry or thirsty – I should have kept fueling myself instead of scarfing a protein bar after I was out of energy.
