Peak San Gorgonio

Trailhead Vivian Creek

This was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. At first the hike just goes up and up and it’s so steep. I knew that was going to be a miserable time when coming back down. After about a mile or so though it just becomes BEAUTIFUL and GRENN and the trail is so pleasant. It’s not bad until after High Camp I think when I was just getting tired and then it seems it got steep again and from there it just goes on for what feels like forever. You NEVER think your going to find the summit. Then FINALLY you get there but it was foggy and overcast. No views for us today. THEN we get to turn around and hike back down. We lost the sun and had to hike 3 hours in the dark with headlamps. Which took even longer because you have to be more cautious in the dark because of the rocky terrain. I was never so happy to see my car again. We were exhausted but at the end of the day, we did it and I couldn’t be more proud of myself and my trail sisters.
