Peak Mt Wilson
Group N/A
Trailhead Sturtevant

How I ended up with this hike, all smiles, accomplished, extremely proud and happy and with very painful feet! The hike up was tough but doable. And I kept saying and thinking, coming down will be a breeze. We will be fast, it’ll be easy. I guess mother nature heard me and disagreed with me, so I was taught a painful lesson. Not so long after we started hiking down, i could feel my toes pushing against the front of my shoes, and the bottom of my feet rubbing against the front sole of my shoes. The whole way down was a torture, this whole experience was a first. Talking bout the expectations, huh! I was always concern about my endurance going up. Little did I know I needed it more coming down. So from now on, my thoughts will be open and respectful for the challenges a trail can give me, going up or coming down . Nonetheless, I love you Mt Wilson! I am blessed to have walked your path! I would love tocome back and do this again, with better shoes. P.S. Thank you for my partner Saul for doing this with me.
