Nice hike! We started at Chantry Flats and were rewarded with beautiful scenery, and made the short detour to see Sturtevant Falls. The trail up was steeper than I expected but we made it up slowly. The views from the top were spectacular. We ate lunch at the top (after getting lost trying to spot the way down) and left sooner than expected because it was quite chilly. The trail down was nice but seemed extra long, and there were a couple of bends on the trail that weren’t marked. We were relieved to see the parking lot after a bend in the trail…it was getting dark so we were starting to become worried. Big picture: We made it and I would gladly hike this again!!
