Trailhead Aerial Tram

We took the awesome aerial tram up to the trailhead. The weather was perfect. We got off the tram around 8:30AM and stopped at the Ranger Station for a permit. As we hiked down the long ramp, I remember dreading that ramp when we get to the end. The hike was very nice and gradual but we could feel the altitude early on. We took a break with a gorgeous view at the saddle after the camp sites. This was one of the greenest trails I have hiked in a while. When we reached the summit it was very busy. We enjoyed lunch and all of the ladybugs hanging out in the trees and bushes, careful not to step on them. The weather was still beautiful and sunny but cool. As we began to hike down and were closer to the trailhead, my dread of the ramp set in. After we conquered the hike and the ramp, we rewarded ourselves with a beer before taking the tram back down.
