Driving on the road up to Baldy Village we went through clouds of ladybugs so when we encountered them on the trail it was magical! Got a later start than we planned but it turned out to be beneficial as we had the summit all to ourselves and returned to the car just before dark. Weather was great, and the company was good. I always forget how steep the steep parts are of that hike, but the challenge is always welcomed.
