Trailhead Icehouse Canyon

11.6 miles, 8,859 SF elevation, 4,300 elevation gain.
Story: This was a BEAUTIFUL hike!! Best part….LADY BUGS!! Worst part….rocky terrain toward the bottom (got blister because I wore the wrong shoes)! The day we hiked was so clear and amazing. We started at Icehouse Canyon trailhead. The first part of the hike was through the forest and near a stream/creek. Seeing the cabin was neat. We were think about how it would be awesome to stay in one. This trail was allllll up hill. I just took is slow. The bugs were terrible. By the end, my feet hurt so much, I told myself I would never hike this peak again. But now I’m thinking this is a hike I would probably do again.
