Peak Mt Wilson
Group Aqui Nomas Hiking
Trailhead Chantry Flats

This is my second time doing Mt. Wilson, but my first hike for the six pack of peaks challenge. My group started hiking at around 7am, the weather was sunny, and started out kind of cold. It warmed up on the way up. We got to the observatory at around 10:15am. The group had split up on the way up, but we all waited for each other at met back up at the Cosmic Cafe, it started to feel cold once we got to sit down to rest and eat.
I felt good throughout the hike even though my pace was a bit slow when I was getting close to the top. The temperature started warming back up on the way down. We ended at around 2pm. There were a lot of mosquitoes, but we came prepared with bug repellent. The trail was clear, there were a few obstructions in some spots but it was easy to get around them. I also ended up loosing my walkie talkie after it unclipped from my backpack strap and plummeted about 40ft down the side of the trail a little after passing Sturtevant Falls. Overall it was a good hike.
