Trailhead Chantry Flats

The conditions were, in my opinion, perfect. It was foggy and gloomy at 0630 hours, but once we started the hike to the waterfall, it cleared up. Obviously it was wet throughout the hike because is drizzled off and on, but it was better than if it poured. Once we reached the Observatory, we discovered patches of snow, it started to rain and hail. The waterfalls and flowing streams were in full effect, it was gorgeous. It took my group 8 hours and we hiked close to 16 miles. We made sure to stay together and assure all members crossed the streams safely.
