Peak Mt Baldy
Group N/A
Trailhead Manker flats

Started our hike at 6am, went up toward ski hut and Devil’s back bone. This is the second time we do this hike up the same way. The hike was really great, started to warm up right past the ski hut or it could’ve been just that steep area was making us work out and sweat 🙂 Then winds started picking up pretty strongly right around the Devil’s back bone and continued all the way up the summit. Sat around and took pictures as good as we could, wind was blowing hard and it felt very cold. Our way down the Baldy bowl way was a bit tricky because there seemed to be a lot of “fake” trails, figured people are cutting switchbacks which can be confusing and a little dangerous because some are steep and slippery, be careful if you come down that way. All in all, hiking up Baldy this second time around seemed a lot shorter and easier, loved the fantastic views it continues to offer. Reminded me how much I like big hikes (and I cannot lie)
