This was my second attempt at this peak after my first failed attempt due to feeling light headed and blacking out. The second attempt was a success! I loved loved this hike! It’s my favorite of the first four peaks. So green!! And my favorite part was Manzanta Flats. I enjoyed going in August when permits help reduce number of hikers. 8+ miles up didn’t seem long. The climb is not stee like the other hikes. When I reached the peak, everyone was so friendly and happy. The peak area is kind of small lol. And a pile of rocks makes the platform for the photo op 🙂 The descent was pretty quick. I really loved this hike and I want to come back soon.
