I think Robert Plant hiked San G the day he wrote “Stairway to Heaven.”
Gorgonio is the epitome of ….”The mountains are calling, and I must go.” I’m so glad I went. So thankful the universe and god have preserved the beauty that shares all with us, that gives us so much and asks nothing in return…..maybe only that we have respect. That we know our limits and abilities before we choose to travel the trails that await us, as they will give no mercy to those not prepared. I started my journey on San G hoping to make it to the top and I finished San G with a whisper of thanks as I crossed the rocky wash out on the way back to my car. I looked behind me at the enormous mountain and gave thanks that I was able to be a small, tiny part of such an incredible piece of beauty in this crazy, fast moving world I often feel so lost in. Thank you San G for allowing me to experience your beauty. My experience will be forever etched-ed in my memory bank to be played back time after time.
To Simba….you and Tango Fox Trot are an amazing team, you inspire beyond words. I hope you are able to experience all that the land has to offer for the rest of your many years ahead. You will one day, no doubt, be an incredible Teacher…….until then, keep on keeping on, keep on exploring the earth and spreading your incredible positive energy.
