Pay attention or you’ll miss the trail sign! This was the first time we went by way of the Baldy Bowl Trail and luckier I ask questions to people! There was a couple a little in front of us that was coming back and I asked if something happened or they forgot something and the said the missed the trailhead and sure enough we had missed it! It’s a little high and not in normal sight but we got back on the right track and off we went. It was beautiful all the way up, typical June gloom in the valley but just lots of sunshine all the way for us. A little chilly at first. Lots of people enjoying with us the ski but was pretty cool and crowded everyone very chipper. About half a mile past the hut it started getting windy and didn’t let up till about a mile from the Notch! Thank goodness for the rock shelters in top, have us a chance to rest and just nice to talk to total strangers and feel like they are not total strangers!!! And then we get great Raggae music at the Notch, sounded so cool coming up to it. Absolutely wonderful day in the wilderness.
