Peak Mt Baldy
Group N/A
Trailhead Mt. Baldy via Devils Backbone

We started shortly after 6am in good trail conditions. It wasn’t too hot which may have left us with a bit of energy at the end. The were a couple of pockets of ice but nothing in the trail. Beginning at Devil’s backbone, the trail turned windy. I found myself stopping a couple of times because the wind jerked me around a bit. I would recommend sunglasses to protect your eyes a bit from all the dirt. Getting to the peak of Baldy is always satisfying. Although we did not hung out at the top all that much because the day turned very windy and cold. Shortly after lunch we headed back down. On second thought, we may have had energy left because we were eager to get to Top of the Notch for a beer. 3 down/3 to go in our 2017 six-pack of peak challenge!
