I would upload 20 photos of this hike if I could. The start of the trail has a middle of the forest feel, and the fresh pine air is the best in the morning! The best part of the trail is Manzanita Flats. I can’t get over how lush, bright, and colorful everything was. I remember stopping and saying ” are you kidding me?!” numerous times lol. Just like last year, I had to stop at the cool little bench that is off the side of the trail not long before Washingtons monument. I personally feel the view here is better than the summit, so It’s always worth stopping for a few photos. The weather this day was perfect, I did get a little tooooo much sun.. but it made the clear views well worth it.
