San Gorgonio is part of the “Three Saints” – three tallest mountain ranges in Southern California: San Jacinto, San Gorgonio, and Mount Baldy. I have completed all three. Starting early, slow pace and lots of breaks was the secret to our success in bagging this beast. We came here to do our training for Whitney. Yes, it was steep, long, lots of loose gravel, elevation and of course the altitude gain. The views from the top were breathtaking and definitely worth the pain! Previously we hiked here on a weekend and it was crowded. This time we were granted permit for Friday and it worked out well. Run into few other super friendly hikers which made this an awesome day away from it all.
