Peak San Gorgonio
Group N/A
Trailhead Vivian Creek

I was highly anticipating my sixth peak with anxiety and excitement. Gorgonio, the big baddie. After much discussion, we decided to nix our South Fork camping plan, due to a lack of water, and decided to do a Vivian Creek day hike as my BDay gift. Thanks for the fun and support ladies, Evelyn, Nika and Mariane. The friendships and memories gained during this challenge have truly enriched my life. We followed the SCH plan and looked for the five distinctive trail sections, each very beautiful. Left Vivian Creek parking lot at 0440 and made summit around 1100. After a long lunch at the the peak, arrived back at the car at 1615. Hiking by headlamp in the morning was amazing under the moon and stars! The initial steep was not as challenging as I thought. Lots of people on the trail. Very cold, all the way up. Warm and crowded on the way down. Tremendous hike, cannot wait for more.

Completing the Six Pack has been super fun. No small feat for my feet. The trails become tales. The miles bring smiles. Strengthened by exertion. Cherishing the wilderness experience and friends of same. Thanking the forest and its residents for allowing us safe passage, so we may admire and glean your persistence . Fueling our faith, teasing our hope, raising our personal bar. I love to live wild. Wilson, Baldy, Jacinto, San Bernardino, Cucamonga & Gorgonio. Thank you SCH for the 6-PoP Challenge.
