Peak San Gorgonio
Group Scott and Brando Hiking Fools
Trailhead From our campsite at Dollar Lake Saddle along the San Bernardino Peak Divide Trail

We slept the night before at Dollar Lake Saddle where we were very cold when we arrived. When we woke up in the morning, the weather was actually a little more pleasant than we had anticipated it would be. It was still a little chilly, but the high pressure front had moved in with abundant sunshine and not a cloud in the sky. We started the hike around 9:00 am on the Peak Divide Trail and make it to the summit of Gorgonio by 10:45 am. We couldn’t have asked more a more pleasant day for hiking… the wind was light to non-existent, and visibility from the summit was great. We made our descent on the Vivian Creek Trail and were back at the FJ by around 2:00 pm. The total distance for the day was 12.4 miles. We completed a very beautiful 26.4 mile hike over the weekend and then had lunch at El Mexicano in Forest Falls.
