A bunch of us, friends and family, met up at the Chantry Flats parking at 6:15 AM and started the hike around 6:45 AM. The weather was perfect. As we hiked up the trail, we took several breaks to rest and also to enjoy the scenery and gorgeous views. Due to the recent storms, we encountered quite a bit of snow and ice. Although the icy conditions slowed us down, we really enjoyed the change in scenery and trail conditions. We didn’t reach the summit until about 1:00 pm, where we took a one hour break for lunch and more resting. Coming down, we took the Mt. Wilson trail. We all arrived at the Chantry Flats parking area at about 6:15 pm, having to hike in the dark for about 45 minutes. Overall, it was a great hike in perfect weather. Looking forward to Cucamonga Peak.
