After hiking San Gorgonio, this was a piece of cake! I actually liked that we had an “easier” hike as the last hike. Took us about 5.5ish hours to climb and 3.25 to get back to the parking lot. Started about 5:50 AM, just to ensure that we would have enough daylight to finish (we had plenty of daylight). Weather was gorgeous, and actually liked the view better from the stone bench near Washington’s Monument. Apparently, no permits are required anymore – which we learned from another hiker. I would verify but we planned this hike based on our permit date.
I would do this one again – looking forward to celebrating at the 2017 party!
