Trailhead Ice House Canyon

We started our hike at about 6:30am, it was a little chilly but clear weather. Lots of people on the trail Saturday, and quite a few dogs as well. Trail was relatively dry, with the exception of the creeks we crossed, no snow to be found. Made it to the peak at about 11am, very excited for lunch as the last couple hundred yards were a killer! Hung out at the top for a while, a little over an hour, taking pictures, eating lunch, and stretching. Headed back down at 12:15/12:20, and there were still quite a few people coming up, which was surprising because of how warm it got. I was definitely carrying too much weight in my pack, but I wanted to be safe with extra water : ) Got back to the bottom/our cars at 4pm. Overall, it was a beautiful day, and I’m so happy we’ve conquered another one!
