Arrived at the trailhead at 7:00am and got one of the very last “real” parking spots. Filled out the permit and started up the trail. About .25m in turned around cause… oops forgot to hang my parking permit. Doh!
It was a cool morning and we made good time up to Columbine Spring where we tanked up for the climb to the peak. There were about a dozen people at the saddle resting before heading in whatever direction, even a few tents and hammocks. After a quick drink we pushed on. Reached the peak in about 4hrs, surprisingly there were about 20 people up there already. We snapped some pictures, ate a snack and started back. The way down was pretty warm we stopped at the spring again and relaxed and tanked up. Smooth sailing the rest of the way down to the truck. Total round trip about 6.5 hours. Cucamonga ✔️
