Cucamonga Peak

Peak Cucamonga Peak
Group N/A
Trailhead Icehouse Canyon

This hike was beautiful with a lot of cloud cover throughout the trail and even at the peak. This was our second trail of the challenge and it was still a little tough with the incline. However, the occasional flat switchbacks were appreciated and gave our legs a break. For some reason, the elevation on this trail hit me hard almost at the start of the trailhead and throughout the hike. The cooler weather that day helped.

There were a lot of people hiking this trail but we still found a good area at the peak to have lunch and enjoy the view and clouds. We enjoyed watching some lizards do push ups on the the rock they climbed before settling into that spot.

The hike down was a little tougher because of the loose soil and rocks throughout the trail but we made it down and ate korean bbq to reward ourselves.
