Lisa and I were lucky enough to have Kar Reyes join us as she is preparing for her Spartan Big Bear Beast! The key to hiking Cucamonga Peak is getting an early start. You’ll beat the heat & most of the day hikers plus getting a good parking spot will benefit you at the end of a long hike. The hike up to the peak is a good steady climb with great views. The sound of the rushing stream follows the first couple of miles on the trail. Once you’re up at the summit the views are never a letdown. On this day bed of clouds covered the land leaving only the surrounding Mountain Tops to view. Sometimes on a clear day, you can see out past Catalina Island.
