Trailhead Ice House Canyon TH

Good hike. After filling out the permit left trail head about 7am. It was clear and a little chilly (upper 50s) at first, but after I got moving a light jacket was a little bit too much. It was breezy/windy all day, but that was noticeable only at the upper parts of the trail. Spotted a deer who wasn’t the least bit concerned about me. Trail was fairly easy to follow to Ice House Saddle and got there at 9:40. Wind was maybe 10-15 mph, so a jacket during a break there was nice. The next mile or so was easy until that last little saddle. From there on there were a few snow patches that required extra care not to tumble down the slope. And toward the top it was a matter of choosing the trail that seemed more traveled. Meeting people coming down was helpful. Summited at noon. View from the top was awesome. Sunny and easy to get out of the wind. For a weekday it was busier than I expected. Came across maybe 20 people in the upper parts of the trail. Got back to the car at 3:55p.
