C O N Q U E R E D!!! 👊👊👊
Up at 2 a.m.😳😳 to be on the road at 3:30 a.m. The goal was to get an early start to beat the heat. As we set out, I felt good. About 2 hours into the hike, I started feeling weird. I kept stopping every few feet just to catch my breath and felt like puking.😭😭😭 This is my third time on this mountain and in higher elevations and never experienced anything like this. I packed 3 liters of water with electrolytes, 1 1.05 oz frozen coconut pineapple water, frozen Gatorade, snacks and lunch. I kept praying to God to get me through this and talking myself out of continuing and that I would be okay if I didn’t summit because my health is more important and I could join my 2 other sisters that turned back around earlier due to 1 experienced elevation sickness. I noticed a lot people were really struggling on the trail. It was warm out, and I was feeling the altitude and the air quality was bad. I took it slow and steady and pressed foward. I finally made it to the top! 😂😂I really felt like shit, but glad I made it up there safe. I cried when I reached the top, because I knew what I had just experienced. I wasn’t my jolly self and had no appetite, but knew I had to eat. I felt that once I headed back down, I would be back to my normal self.😔😔 This beast was physically and mentally challenging and took everything out of me.
I felt back to normal when I made it to In-N-Out Burgers. 😜😜Thank you Lord!!👆
