Birthday Hike to SoCal’s Highest Peak

The mountains were calling and so I went. Then I froze. And now I have dead toes.

Reaching the highest peak in SoCal was the best birthday gift I gave myself. From not wanting to have anything to do with walking, running or hiking to now reaching peaks, I have come far. Who wouldn’t? Nature does that. It heals you, gives you strength, gains you new friends, and brings out the best in you.
