AMAZING HIKE! We got there at about 5:15am and started hiking at 5:20am. Summited by 8:30am and made it back to the care at 12:10pm. Got to see a big horn sheep about 50 feet from the trail and just stopped to observe it. HOT HOT HOT!!! I don’t know how people where hiking up when we were on our way down. Start as early as physically possible. Trail was pretty well maintained and only a few confusing spots on the trail. Smog covered up the view but it was a great accomplishment. Went through 3 litters of water and ran out of water about a mile from the car.
