Well, it was supposed to be another hot day, in fact the previous day was 105 degrees. We did our homework and planned for a hot weather hike and prepared to carry the extra weight of the extra water (19 liters/ 42 lbs.). It turned into the most beautiful day with a high expected of 71 degrees and you just couldn’t ask for anything better than that. When the sun went down we went in the tent………….
