Trailhead San Bernardino Peak Trail

Great hiking conditions. The trail was never too heavily trafficked. I was on vigilant rattlesnake watch after reading about the incident another hiker had with an aggressive mama rattlesnake. A small snake warned us of its presence about two miles in, before we hit the wilderness barrier.

There were only two small groups of fellow hikers at the summit, which was a nice change from what we experienced at the San Jacinto peak. Both groups were fellow 6 Packers who we swapped a few hiking stories with. We quickly made our descent from the peak back to Columbine Springs where we were posted for the night.
