Peak San Gorgonio
Group N/A
Trailhead Vivian Creek

7.5 hours up, 4 hours back. Okay, I may have led our group in the wrong path, early in the hike – we lost about 30 minutes (my defense was it was dark!). So when you cross the river bed, cross the river bed. Don’t go up the riverbed. Lesson learned I need to study the paths maybe a tiny bit more than I did.

Going up was tough. Once we crossed the river bed, the incline was steep! Overall I was pleasantly surprised at how much shade there was, I expected more exposure on the path (although the last couple/three miles, very exposed). I think it was totally worth the hike to get to the peak, we had beautiful clear weather.

Coming down, I think our group was anxious to be done. Very little breaks and I think I could feel the insoles of my shoes breaking down! No lost toenail though, maybe I’m getting better at hiking downhill!

One more to go to complete the 6-pack!
