This hike was so beautiful, Icehouse Canyon was so green and hearing the stream as we hiked up was a real bonus. The trail was in great condition, it got a little interesting near the summit with some subtle signage, but it was easy to find anyway-just keep heading up! The weather was warm, yet nice and cool and misty at the top. It was a nice getaway from the heatwave from that weekend. It was 108 when we got back down the mountain!! The altitude didn’t give us any problems, but the first half of the hike was brutal. Those switchbacks…
The summit was so worth it. We found a spot on some rocks and just meditated for a while. It felt like we were flying above the city below. I’m definitely coming back for an overnight!
